The tattva clock for Android
The tattva running now, where you are
In the tattva tradition of Hindu tantra, five tattvas take turns, day and night. Each lasts 24 minutes, and the first begins at sunrise.
Tattvas works out sunrise for your exact location. So the cycle follows the sun where you are, not a fixed table of clock times.
Free to download. The tattva running now is always free.

Questions and answers
What people ask
Why do the times differ from a printed tattva table?
A fixed table assumes the same sunrise everywhere and every day. The tradition counts the tattvas from the real sunrise, which changes with the date and from place to place. The app works it out for your exact location, every day.
Which order of the tattvas is right?
The tradition teaches two orders of the five tattvas, and the sources disagree. The app offers both, and you can also arrange your own. Change the order in the settings at any time, for free.
Why does the tattva change when I travel?
Even a short trip changes the time of sunrise a little, and the whole cycle moves with it. The app uses your current location, so the tattva on the screen is the one running where you are.
Does the app need the internet?
The clock is calculated on your phone, so it works offline. The internet is used only to load the map, to look up place names and to handle payments through Google Play.
What happens near the poles?
Near the poles, some days have no sunrise. On those days the cycle has nothing to start from, so the app says that the clock is not available.
Can I choose the language of the app?
The app uses the language of your phone. On Android 13 and later, you can also set a language for this app alone, in your phone's settings.
How do I cancel the subscription?
In Google Play: tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to stop the next payment. You keep everything until the period ends.
Please note Tattvas shows what the tradition says about each moment. It is not medical advice, and what you do with it is up to you.
