The tattva clock for Mac
The tattva running now, on your Mac
In the tattva tradition of Hindu tantra, five tattvas take turns, day and night. Each lasts 24 minutes, and the first begins at sunrise.
Tattvas works out the sunrise where you are and shows which tattva is running, to the second, and how long it has left.
Free to download. Today's tattvas for your location are always free. For macOS 12 and later.

How it works
A cycle that starts at your sunrise
The tattvas follow the sun where you are, not a fixed table of clock times.
-
1
Your sunrise
The app works out the moment of sunrise for your location, every day, on the Mac itself.
-
2
Five tattvas, 24 minutes each
From sunrise, Akasha, Vayu, Tejas, Apas and Prithvi follow one another, so the whole cycle takes two hours.
-
3
Round and round until the next sunrise
The cycle repeats all day. The app shows the tattva running now, to the second, and how long it has left.

Each with its colour, its symbol and its advice
The app names what each tattva favours and what to be careful of, in the same words as Tattvas for Android.
